Welcome to A-10 U Softball

10U softball is the first level of child pitch division for girls.

The intent of the program is to promote development and provide all girls with an experience that fosters positive self-esteem and team spirit while simultaneously gaining knowledge of the game. Emphasis will be placed on creating a fun environment in which girls of differing abilities and skill can develop or expand fundamental motor skills and game strategies.

Teams will be coached by volunteers who will work with the girls to develop the core softball skills of pitching, hitting, fielding, catching, throwing and base running. The program will further teach girls the fundamentals of softball and encourage continued participation by building a passion for the sport.

Participants in Freshman softball will need black softball pants, a glove (typically 11.5” to 12”) and facemask.  Each team will be provided a limited number of bats, catcher’s equipment, balls and batting helmets. A child is welcome to utilize their own batting helmets and official softball bats (2 ¼”).
